My go-to products for a five minute makeup routine for work, when I'm in a rush to get out the door.
Most days for work, I'm lucky if I swipe mascara and brow gel on before I get out the door. When I was younger, I always had to do my makeup before work, but the older I get, the more comfortable I am with going places makeup-free. Call it laziness if you will, but the minimalist makeup routine is definitely the way-to-go in my opinion!
With that being said, I always manage to put jewelry on, even if I don't have makeup on... because fashion over beauty right? Even though no one asked for this, I feel like sharing my everyday makeup routine with you, including products that I'm loving! As an added bonus, everything is under $40.00.
Face
Elf Power Grip Primer: I recently discovered this in January 2022 and have been LOVING it! Lots of people say it is a dupe for the MILK Makeup primer, which I haven't tried, but I think it performs wonderfully! Very tacky for makeup to stick, and I feel like my makeup lasts much longer using this primer.
Wet n Wilk Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator: This foundation is my favorite to use! Wet n Wild claims it is light to medium coverage, but for me this definitely feels more medium coverage. It's very beautiful on the skin, and I find that blending it with my hands is best. I do wish they offered more shade selection.
Wet n Wild MegaLast Incognito All-Day Full Coverage Concealer: This concealer offers my perfect shade and I love the way it looks on my skin. It's definitely full-coverage and lasts for a long time.
Smashbox Cali Contour Blush, Highlighter, & Bronzer Face Palette: I've had this palette for a few years now and it's still one of my holy grail products. I love bringing this with me when I travel because it has everything I need in one, which makes it perfect for getting ready quickly.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder: This product is worth all the hype. I tried it for the first time last year (I'm so late to the game, I know) and I was shocked! There's no flash-back in photos and it sits beautifully on top of makeup, resulting in long-wearing looks.
Makeup Revolution Sport Fix Extra Hold Makeup Fixing Spray: Is your current setting spray lacking? Look no further than the Makeup Revolution Sport Fix spray!! This stuff is seriously the best, I don't know how I lasted so long without it. Honestly reminds me of my other favorite setting spray, the cult classic, Urban Decay All-Nighter.
Eyes
Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara: I honestly was searching for something affordable at Ulta and came across this. I figured I would give it a try and I actually love this stuff! Very similar to the Elf Gimme Brow mascara. Definitely recommend.
Mac Magic Extension 5mm Fibre Mascara: I like how dark this mascara is, because I feel like it really makes my lashes pop! This is a new find for me, but so far I've really enjoyed using this. It gives my lashes lots of length, which I love.
Lips
NYX Professional Makeup Suede Matte Lip Liner: I have this in the shade Cannes, which is a "Matte Muted Mauve" and pairs perfectly with my lipstick! I love a good nude/pinky lip liner.
Milani Ludicrous Matte Lip Crayon: The shade I have is sold out, :( but I use the shade Can't Even. This lip crayon is so nice and smooth, it glides across the lips and doesn't feel super drying on my lips. The color lasts for a very long time, which is great! It is definitely mask proof.
Work Ready In Less Than 10 Minutes
These products make it so easy to get ready for work! I especially love to use my fingers to blend in the Wet n' Wild Tinted Hydrator, because it's a lightweight foundation and blends so much better with your hands.
