High Protein Tuna Crunch Wrap

This healthy and flavorful tuna crunch wrap is loaded with protein, and the perfect snack or lunch meal for weight loss!

I've been trying to eat healthier and get workouts in at least 3 times during the week. Many of my workouts consist of cardio or weight lifting, and with weight lifting, it's important to make sure you're eating enough protein to help your muscles grow and recover. Sometimes, when I am in a pinch to get my protein in, I'll eat tuna. However, tuna can definitely become bland and boring... so I added some Doritos and cheese to this recipe to make eating tuna a little less painful. This recipe is so simple and delicious, that I don't mind eating tuna again!

High Protein Tuna Crunch Wrap

Ingredients

Include everything your reader needs to make this recipe perfectly, with measurements, optional additions, or alternatives. For example:

  • 1 can tuna, drained (I used the Bumble Bee Solid White Albacore)

  • 1/4 white or red onion

  • 2 tablespoons of mayo (I use Dukes)

  • salt and pepper

  • squirt of Sriracha (measure with love)

  • 1 roma tomato

  • shredded cheddar cheese (or whichever cheese you prefer)

  • handful of your favorite Doritos, Quest, or similar style chips

  • tortilla(s) of choice

Assembly and Cooking Directions:

This recipe is so easy to make, perfect for lunch or a quick snack while trying to reach your protein goals.

  1. Mix together the tuna, onion, mayo, salt, pepper, sriracha, and tomato in a bowl

  2. Spray a pan with Pam or whatever oil you prefer and put on medium-high heat

  3. Grab a tortilla, and put a dollop of the tuna mixture in the middle of your tortilla.

  4. Sprinkle cheese on top of the tuna

  5. Place Doritos on top of the tuna and cheese mixture

  6. Add more cheese if desired

  7. Fold the tortilla, bringing both sides toward the middle and folding the top and bottom portions of the tortilla towards the middle, so it looks like a pocket.

  8. Place your folded tortilla seam side down in the pan and fry for a couple minutes on both sides, or until the tortilla turns brown.

  9. Voila! Your tuna crunch wrap is done and ready to enjoy!

These are so quick and easy to make. I like to cut mine in half, or you can eat them whole!

Leave a comment if you try this recipe! You could also substitute the tuna for canned chicken as well.
