Fall Fun

This weekend was busy with friends, planning and cooking. I can’t believe that October is almost over… it feels like September and October flew by. I can’t believe Thanksgiving is in a month. Where does the time go?

Fall weather is slow to enter into Hampton Roads, but I’m grateful for colder weather beginning to set in. If you consider upper 60’s and low 70’s to be cooler weather. This weekend was a great time to enjoy the weather and spending time with friends.

On Saturday, I enjoyed a girls day with my friend Cecilliea. We enjoyed lunch and mimosas at a restaurant in Williamsburg called Craft 31. They had a delicious pomegranate mimosa!

After lunch, we looked around Goodwill, Marshalls and Kohls. No purchases on my half, but I was so tempted… so many stores are already putting out Christmas decorations and gifts. Is it too early to begin thinking about Christmas? Yes and no… I’d like to try to wait for Black Friday deals to see what I can snag for family and friends.

That evening, Noah and I watched the Halloween movies (with Michael Meyers), since the new Halloween Kills movie just came out. I would say I liked it, but I fell asleep hallways through the movie. If it’s late at night, you can guarantee I will not stay awake for a movie.

Sunday’s are always lazy and semi-productive. I went grocery shopping, worked on my Halloween costume and watched Football with Noah. I did make late breakfast and put together a charcuterie board for us to enjoy while we watched football games on TV. In the late afternoon, Noah decorated outside the house for Halloween. Not pictured is the fog machine we will use or the spooky light bulbs we have for trick-or-treater’s next weekend.

The weekend always goes by too fast, but it’s nice to have a break in between work. I’m ready to start the new week on a positive note and make it great! Here’s to the last week of October!
